Creating e-Invoice API Login Details and providing it to GSTZen

This document describes the procedure to create e-Invoice API login details in the Main Portal https://einvoice1.gst.gov.in set by
National Information Centre (NIC).

Before generating the username and password, we request that you write it down on a piece of paper or your computer so that you are sure
about it. We have noticed that the portal reports an error message that the credentials are already created even when you are doing it the first time.

Registering in the API production portal and entering details in GSTZen

Section 1: Registration in Production e-Invoice Portal

• Login to NIC e-Invoice Web Portal on – https://einvoice1.gst.gov.in/

• Click on Login and enter your Username and Password.
  • Note: If you have registered on the Eway bill production portal, you may use the same credentials to log in to the API e-Invoicing portal.

• Click on API Registration.

• Click on User Credentials and click on Create API User.

• It will trigger an OTP to your registered mobile Number. Please enter the OTP and click on Verify OTP.

• Click on Through GSP.

• Select CLOUDZEN SOFTWARE LABS PRIVATE LIMITED(GSTZen) as your GSP.

• Create API specific Username and Password & Click on Submit.
• Once the API credentials are created, you receive a message that the User creation was successful.

Section 2: Logging into the API Portal through GSTZen

• Login to your GSTZen account.
• Choose the GSTIN.
• Click on E-Invoicing on the right-hand side of your GSTIN detail page.
• Click on Configure API Credentials.

• Click on Login/ Change E-Invoice Portal Login details.

• Enter the portal Username and Password and select the Portal type as Official Portal (Production). Please note that the username will start with API_
